Meet the Doctors

Dr. Letitia Plummer
SMILE BRIGHTER WITH DR. LETITIA PLUMMER

Dr. Letitia Plummer is dedicated to making her patients feel special, saying, "Everyone is entitled to a beautiful smile. I always thought that if I could make someone smile with confidence, I could change their lives.” Nothing makes her happier than helping a patient feel better both inside and out, and she’s always willing to go above and beyond your typical dentist to ensure someone walks out of Maxwello Dental & Orthodontics feeling satisfied. Dentistry has been her lifelong passion, and you can learn a little more about her by reading on below.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A DENTIST?

Since childhood, Dr. Plummer seemed predestined to become a dentist and create beautiful smiles for a living. “My dad is a dentist, and I worked with him since I was 12.” She literally grew up in a dental office, and she actually gets to practice right alongside her dad every single day now, as he’s still serving Houston families!

WHERE DID YOU STUDY DENTISTRY?

After graduating from Spelman College in 1992, Dr. Plummer’s dental career took a brief detour. “I wanted to have some hands-on experience in management and staffing. You don’t get that kind of experience in dental school, so I started a company called Safe Hands. We sold latex gloves.” Eventually, Dr. Plummer enrolled in the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. After graduating in 1999, she started her own dental office in Pearland, and in 2010, she opened a second dental office in the historic Museum District of Houston. Both dental offices are conveniently located 15 miles from each other and offer general, cosmetic, orthodontic, endodontic and surgical procedures including dental implants and sedation. Dr. Plummer has also completed extensive training in cosmetic dentistry through continuing education and is certified in ClearCorrect, and sleep apnea therapy. Currently, she is pursuing a fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. "I honestly love creating beautiful smiles," she says. "A smile truly exudes confidence." Dr. Plummer is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Association of Women Dentists, Greater Houston Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and she holds an administrative role with the Harris County Hospital District--Dental Division. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF THE DENTAL OFFICE?

Dr. Plummer has four amazing boys, and despite her busy business life, she still keeps her spirit balanced and her family first. Her success hasn’t insulated her from giving back to her community as well. “My non-profit organization is called Career Smiles. I work with other non-profits that have clients with cosmetic dental issues,” which she helps fix thanks to private funding and sponsorship.

Dr. Gregory Pham
Dr. Gregory M. Pham is an oral and implant surgeon who focuses his scope of practice on comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation with a strong focus on dental implants, bone reconstruction, and immediate teeth-in-a-day digital work flow. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin before earning his dental degree from the University of Texas Health and Science Center in Houston. After graduating from dental school, he completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, and at the University of Texas Health and Science Center in Houston. He went on to complete medical school and was a neurosurgical resident at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, which is a Level 1 trauma center located in San Bernardino, California, prior to returning to Houston to practice dentistry and start a family.

His practice philosophy is influenced by Dr. Hilt Tatum's approach to implant dentistry, with the emphasis on"NIRISAB", which is an acronym for Natural Implant Restoration in Stable Alveolar Bone. NIRISAB is a concept of how to approach the end goal of restoring the patient to normal contour, esthetics, speech, and health, regardless of the degree of atrophy, disease, or injury to the stomatognathic system. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, a Master in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, is actively working toward gaining Board Certification status with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, has memberships with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Medical Association, as well as the American Dental Association. He has successfully completed many advanced courses, including the maxi-implant course at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, the Misch Implant Institute course, the Zimmer Fully Stimulated Comprehensive Implant Placement course, as well and Piko and Salaman Advanced Bone Grafting courses. Recently, he just completed a year-long residency AAID Maxi-Course in Oral Implantology, complex bone augmentation, and full mouth rehabilitation with Drs. Hilt Tatum and Petrosa in Puerto Rico. He enjoys caring for patients here at Innovative Dental Care and helping them overcome severe trauma and tooth loss in lasting ways.

Away from the practice, Dr. Pham enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Melissa, their twins Cheyenne and Maddox, and their two Cavachon, Bella and Bentley. The family loves to spend family time exploring the outdoors and trying new restaurants in the Houston area. His hobbies include running, biking, playing tennis, and watching the Rockets.
